Anne Lynn Art Studio

My name is Anne Lynn Vencel and I am a Louisville-based Kentucky paint and fiber artist. At Anne Lynn Art Studio, I pour my heart into every piece, whether it's a bold stroke of acrylic on canvas or a delicate loop of yarn. I spent hours as a child drawing, painting and crafting with my grandmothers. My time with them was always an art immersion. I found an inner freedom in art that has been a constant in my life.  In college, I was able to travel to Florence, Rome and Venice to see the artworks I had read about: I looked at color, brushstrokes and was mesmerized by the Impressionism masters. To view an Impressionism piece far away and then up close strengthened my observation skills. As I paint today, I remember the splashes of paint up close which create a world when seen at a distance.
